Lloyd “Casey” Joseph Dugas Jr., 74, a former resident of Pierre Part, LA and current resident of Gulf Shores, AL, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021. Lloyd was a loving son, father, brother, and friend. Lloyd proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War serving a tour for eighteen months in Cam Ranh Bay Vietnam. He worked in construction management for numerous years where he had the opportunity to travel the world. Lloyd was passionate about his family, faith, work and Mardi Gras. He was a devoted Catholic who cherished his faith and said the rosary daily.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Enola H. Dugas; one son, Casey Dugas (Amy); three grandchildren, Caitlin, Jace, and Jaylon Dugas; three brothers, Raymond “Buster” Dugas, Dennis Dugas (Susan), and Keith Dugas (Donna); two sisters, Norma Blanchard and Connie Templet; long time special friend, Karen Orso; former wife, Doris Dugas; three step children, Edd Lee Delatte, Mike Delatte (Alison), and Danette Bourgoyne (Lester).
He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Dugas Sr.; godchild, Jenny Lynn Templet; niece, Janine Blanchard, and brothers-in-law, Douglas Templet, Curtis Blanchard, and Sidney Mabile.
The family would like to thank Dennis and Susan Dugas, Dr. Cataldo, Dr. Denicola, and their entire staff for taking such great care of Lloyd.
Due to current circumstances, the visitation for Lloyd will be private. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
