He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Linwood was a proud parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. He was a devout Catholic who cherished his faith and very active in the church. He was a Eucharist Minister and a member of the choir. Linwood enjoyed growing roses, ivy plants, playing music, making sweets, but most of all, he loved the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking Thursday night supper at the camp with his friends and family and his monthly casino trips with his siblings. Linwood was a member of the Pierre Part Belle River Fire Department for several years and the founder of the Crawfish Jubilee.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Dean Charles Guillot and wife, Marla; five grandchildren, Rhett Guillot (Jillian), Dylan Guillot (Kayla), Kelsey Para (Jacob), Ernie Hebert II (Brittany), and Cody Hebert; eight great grandchildren, Ariana Wray, Cooper Para, Parker Para, Candan Hebert, Madisyn Southern, Millie Hebert, Charly Thibodeaux, and Connor Hebert; seven siblings, Ervin Guillot, Logi Guillot (Audrey), Jessie Guillot, Anna Mae Mabile (Norman), Joyce Guillot (EJ); Dot Johnson (Roger), and Selma Matassa (Kenny) and one sister-in-law, Delores Guillot.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Grace Guillot; one son, Bruce Guillot; parents, Phyillas and Clayle Guillot; two siblings, Oswald Guillot and Mildred "Mitch" Breaux; three sister-in-laws, Phyllis Guillot, Darlene Guillot, and Valerie Guillot and one nephew, Greg Guillot.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 12pm. Entombment to follow in the church cemetery.
