Cynthia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was very compassionate and always put everyone's needs before her own. Cynthia had a special gift to take care of children with special needs. She adored her family and loved spending time with them, cooking, baking, crafting, and her pets. Cynthia was known to make sure her family and close friends had a birthday cake on their birthday. She was very involved with preserving and promoting the cajun culture. Cynthia was a member of the Catholic daughters and a participant of the Schoenstatt rosary group.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two daughters, Kelli Burt (Mark) and Denise Charlet (Anthony); six grandchildren, Korey Starns, Cadin Burt, Allen Charlet, Ashlyn Charlet, Karleigh Charlet, and Brielle Burt; two sisters, Annette Richie (Randy) and Jennifer Giambrone (John) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Holland; parents, Alvin Sr. and Gloria Alleman McCarthy and one brother Alvin McCarthy Jr.
A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part at 10am with burial to follow in the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery.
