Virginia M. Wilson

Mrs. Wilson was born in Pickens County on May 1, 1927 to the late Oscar and Jessie Barker Morgan. She retired from the Pickens County School District after 32 years as a special education teacher, and in her free time enjoyed crocheting, reading, and flower gardening. She was best known for her smile, which was infectious and would light up any room. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Pickens View Wesleyan Church where she started the Prayer Shawl Program.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her three children: Gene Wilson (Diane) of Pickens, Becky Pitts (Roy) of Greer, and Faith Culbertson (Ken) of Piedmont; a sister: Agnes Hudson of Pickens; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by a brother: Cliff Morgan; two sisters: Betty and Hilda Morgan; and a brother-in-law: Ivy Hudson.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 10, 2021 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, masks will be required and social distancing will be observed in the Funeral Home during the service.

The family is at their respective homes.
