Mr. Phillips was born in Liberty, SC on December 30, 1943 to the late R.M. and Elizabeth Rooker Phillips. He retired from AT&T as an engineer and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Mr. Phillips was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a member of the Bates Masonic Lodge #189 A.F.M, and a Hejaz Shriner.
In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Phillips is survived by two sons: Neil Phillips of Easley and Charles "Chuck" Hayes of Pickens; two daughters: Pamela Wilson of Simpsonville and Conna Craig (Jimmy) of Pickens; a sister: JoAnne Ducker (Charles) of Berea; seven grandchildren: Savanah (Christian), Sabrina, Becky (Chad), Libby (Randy), Jennifer (Matthew), Hannah, and Jonah; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Franklin Wilson; and a sister: Dorothy Bradberry.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, prior to the service, at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Mausoleum at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
