He leaves behind his loving family of four children, 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and soon to be two great-great-grandchildren. The family can rejoice in the fact of the reunion on Heaven's shore. We know he ran into the arms of His Savior, Jesus Christ, then reunited with his loving parents, George & Lillie Bradley, his beautiful wife, Velma L. Bradley of 67 years, and then was welcomed with open arms from his grandson, Brian Finley.
Born on July 18, 1929, Melvin was a hardworking man who just loved Jesus with all his heart and knew the value of his family. He married his loving wife, Velma, on Nov. 1, 1952, placing his focus on providing for his family. Through many hardships in his life, Melvin came to find and know Jesus. It was the greatest decision he made and forever changed him. Melvin was a man of few words, but passionate about his life’s work of lumbering, gardening, and enjoyed sharing his love for Jesus. He found great joy in going to his church, Missionary Baptist Church in Pickens, SC. His sweetest blessings were being with his family and watching some Nascar racing. His strength was found in his faithfulness in Christ and his many years on his knees praying for his family. His family recognizes the great legacy he leaves behind with all his years of prayers.
He leaves behind his children Roger Bradley (Susie), Vickie Bowie (Allen), Roselyn Finley (Randall), and Terry Bradley (Page). His grandchildren Keith Bradley (Danielle), Weston Bradley, Brandon Bradley (Jennifer), Cody Bradley (Kayla), Mitchell Bowie (Dana), Michael Bowie, Marsha Alexander (David), Joshua Bowie, Tiffany Moon (Jason), Amanda Horn (John), Christopher Bradley (Nikki), and Davey Bradley. He also leaves behind an abundance of blessings with 35 great-grandchildren and soon to be two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Melvin will be private. Please keep the Bradley family in your thoughts and prayers.
