Mary Lois Reid

Born in Oconee County, Mrs. Reid was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years Floyd L. Reid. Mrs. Reid was the daughter of the late Phidelle and Alice Jenkins Burrell.

She was a faithful member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church and loved her Sunday school class friends.

Mrs. Reid is survived by her son Corey (Susan); daughter Donna (Wayne); bonus daughter Lea Wilbanks McCarson; special friend Kenny Raines; Six grandsons, Kenny and Scott Couch, Terry (Vanessa), Jeremy and Nathan Burrell, Casey Chappel; two granddaughters Alex and Jojo Reid; brothers James (Becky), Wayne (Donna); sisters Nina Alexander (Joe) and Louise Bates. Numerous great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Reid also leaves special niece Lynn Moore; dear close friends Myra Page, Gail Burrell and Sandra Nix.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Reid was predeceased by five brothers: Claude, Charles, Will, Tolliver and Jerry; two daughters, Pamela Reid Couch and Sandy Reid Chappel.

The family would like to thank the 5th floor nurses and staff at St. Francis Downtown Hospital and Interim Hospice.

A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, South Carolina 29671.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM, at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with a committal service to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
