Martha "Susie" Susanne (Brooks) Thornton

Susie was born in Pickens county on August 23, 1965 to Troy Brooks (Helen) of Liberty and Joan Edwards of Central. She devoted her life to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, along with her family. Susie had a heart of gold and a wonderful laugh that would light up any room, however, with her quick wit and her raw sense of humor, if you needed to know something, she would be the first to tell you about it. She was also very creative in redesigning old furniture. She attended Church online with 5Point Church in Easley.

In addition to her loving husband, her parents, and her step-mother, Susie is survived by two sons: Mark Chapman (Nicole) of Pelzer and Derrick Johnson (Samantha) of Williamston; her five grandchildren: Kaley and Gregory Chapman, Braxton, Kaleb, and Brailyn; two brothers: Bodie Brooks (Lynn Plotzki) of Liberty and Travis Brooks (Bridgette) of Liberty; and two sisters: Lisa Davis of Liberty and Crystal Holliday (Jamie) of Laurens.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Rice's Creek Baptist Church.

Flowers are accepted.
