Mrs. Holland was born in Lyerly, Georgia on November 19, 1943, to the late Leon Daniel "LD" and Evie Lee Winters Holt. She lived a very simple farm life and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow up. Mrs. Holland loved to spend time with her family, especially playing the card game "Old Maid" with them, and in her later years, enjoyed painting. She was the former owner and operator of The Pickens Ice Cream Parlor for many years and was living proof that hard work pays off due to her success as a businesswoman. Mrs. Holland was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Pickens.
In addition to her loving husband, Mrs. Holland is survived by her daughter: Valerie McCrady (Greg); three step-daughters: Donna Foster (Lee), Rhonda Burroughs (Johnny), and Denise Cook (Jamey); a "son by heart": John Dockins (Alison); her eleven grandchildren: Evie Seitz, Robbie Seitz, Tanner McCrady, Ashley McCrady, Christian McCrady, John-Davis Burroughs, Haley Cook, Cory Cook, Aubrey Dockins, Savannah Dockins, and Carly Dockins; and her two siblings: Willie Leon Holt (Melinda) and Linda Holt Spector (Michael).
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM on Monday, prior to the service, at Dillard Funeral Home.
Flowers are accepted, or the family requests that memorial donations be made to either the Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House: 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672; or to a charity of one's choice
