Mrs. Martha Brown

Martha Brown, 65, of Pickens and wife of Charles Brown, passed away Monday April 29th, 2019 in Greenville County. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Fred and Helen Reid.

She was of the Baptist faith who enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

She is survived by one son, Chris Simmons; one daughter, Christie Carver (Roger); one brother, Ronald Reid; one sister, Marilyn Miller; four grandchildren, Destiny Duncan (Dexter), Levi Tallon (Kendall), Dustin Simmons (Haylie), Brandon Carver; and three great-grandchildren, Grayson, Asher, and Addiline.

She was predeceased by one brother, Roger Reid; and one sister, Janice Reid.

The family will receive friends on Thursday May 2nd, 2019, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 3rd, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel with both the Reverend John Brown and the Reverend Roland Bearden officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
