Mrs. Hannah was born in Pickens, SC on October 13, 1934 to the late Henry Newton and Ella Mae Bentley Reece. Her caring and giving personality made her a great mother, and she spent her life as a homemaker to ensure not only her children and grandchildren, but the children and grandchildren of others could have a strong motherly figure. Mrs. Hannah loved to cook, and especially loved to grow flowers and vegetables in her gardens that she could can and distribute to everyone in her community. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing, which allowed her to give away numerous items to people that she had hand-made throughout the years. Even with all of that, she still found time to fish, which was her favorite thing to do. Mrs. Hannah was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Sunset.
In addition to her loving husband of 70 years, Mrs. Hannah is survived by her six children: Judy Cooper (Skeets) of Pickens, Douglas Hannah (Karen) of Easley, Joyce Bishop (Hubert) of Easley, Janice Hannah (Terry) of Franklin, NC, Dennis Hannah (Doris) of Pickens, and Donnie Hannah (Lisa) of Pickens; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister: Jeanette Sheriff of Anderson.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hannah was preceded in death by a great-grandchild: Hunter Todd; and two siblings: Rudolph Reece and Beulah Nash.
