Garvin Elton Stone, 74, husband of Barbara Ann Durham Stone, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Garvin was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Walter Leon and Inez Ellenburg Stone. He was retired from Cornell Dublier formerly Sangamo Electric as a production line supervisor. He was a member of Gap Hill Church of God and the Sanctuary Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara of the home, son, Scott Elton Stone and his wife Angie and grandchildren, Hillary and Lesley Ann Stone. Also surviving are sisters, Linda Stone and Judy Reid (Ronald) all of Six Mile. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Friday, November 21, 2014 at Gap Hill Church of God.
