Eloise Ruth Cochran, 79, of Six Mile, died peacefully on January 26, 2017 at Pendleton Manor in Greenville, South Carolina. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, on Sunday January 29, 2017 from 2:15 to 3:45 PM. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Eloise was born in Pickens to J. W. and Mallie Kelly on October 8, 1937. She is a 1956 graduate of D.W. Daniel High School. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she took care of infants in the nursery, sang in the choir, and cared for the church in many other ways. Her plethora of work included, assembling pianos, catering, and custodian for her church. She loved music, dancing, children, and mowing her lawn. Her greatest love was her beloved husband Ken and her family Eloise is preceded in death by her parents, J. W. and Mallie; her husband Kenneth Cochran; her sisters - Juanita Huckins, Kathleen Kelly, Nathlee Duckworth, Ozell Merck, Sada Ellenburg; and her brothers –Theodore Kelly, Fred Kelly, Ralph Kelly, James Kelly, Cecil Kelly, and Dwight Kelly. Eloise is survived by her sister Argyle Degear of Greenville; sons Dale (Scarlett) Cochran of Powdersville; Greg (Carole) Cochran of Baltimore; daughter Kelli (Joey) Blankenship; six grandchildren Leah Woodcock, Kendall Cochran, Joshua Cochran, Lara Cochran, Kaitlin Blankenship, Clay Blankenship; and great-granddaughter Alice Woodcock.
