David graduated from Clemson University in 1975 and was a lifelong Clemson Tigers fan. He was a member of Buncombe Street Methodist Church. After 38 years with Michelin Tire Corporation, he retired in 2015, allowing him to spend more time enjoying golf, the outdoors, and his beloved family.
David didn’t say much, but those who were lucky enough to be loved by him knew he was genuine, warm, welcoming, funny and incredibly selfless. He was unbelievably kind. He was the rock to his family and a beacon of light. “Poppi” to his three grandchildren, he was always happy to supply them with endless ice cream and unlimited screen time. He will be lovingly remembered and his legacy will live on.
David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon (Gillespie); his children Graeme (Betsy) Crowe and Andrea Crowe; his grandchildren: Harper, Kennedy and Tucker Crowe; his siblings Steve (Peggy) Crowe, Glen (Holly) Crowe, Myra Crowe and Pattie (Clark) Leslie; his mother-in-law, Jane Gillespie, and brother-in-law, Mark Gillespie.
