81 of Phoenix, passed away peacefully Dec. 11th, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born in Iowa on Jan. 18th 1931. She moved to Arizona in 1940. She attended Roosevelt Grammar School and graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1948. Verlee married her sweetheart, Albert Edens on Sept. 17, 1949. As owners of a travel agency, Albert and Verlee enjoyed touring the world. Her humor, great love, and service will be missed by many. Verlee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in several church callings. Preceded in death by her parents (John and Martena), brother (Leland), daughter (Janet), and two grandsons (Robert and Jacob). Survived by her husband of 63 years, Albert Edens, brother (Kenneth), sister (Louise), son John (Colleen), daughter Patricia (Ted) Sarager, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at the Phoenix East Stake Center, 1835 E. Missouri Ave. in Phoenix.
