Teresa J. Adams Egan

Teresa Jane Egan, our beloved mother, passed away on June 17 at the age of 93. She was born February 24, 1917 in Altoona, Pa to Timothy and Rose Adams, one of 13 children. She married her high school sweetheart, our dad, on Valentinbe's Day in 1938. They enjoyed 72 years together. She was a loving mother to six daughters, nourishing our bodies and our souls. After we left home to begin our own families, she decided to fulfill her dream to become a nurse, graduating summa cum laude from Phoenix College with her RN degree. Her patient's at Phoenix General Hospital were blessed with her dedicated and tender care. She loved to travel, play cards and enjoyed the slot machines. Our Dad, James Egan, died 3 months ago, and Mom was ready for him to come and take her home with him. She is survived by her six daughters: Carol Pendley, Susan Cole, Mary Jane Ryan, Elaine Svancara, Nancy Pendley and Teresa Kay Perry, also by 1 sister, 3 brothers, 22 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. We have been very blessed and are so thankful for the care and love given to our parents by Krystyna Reynolds and Bertha Ramos of Lake View Retirement Villa. Thanks also to Sun Rise Hospice, those special people who served and cared for our parents and our family. We are so grateful to all these wonderful people.
