Shirley D Warren

On September 21, 1934, to the union of McKinley and Jessie Mae Johnson in Bogalusa, Louisiana, Shirley and her twin sister, Geraldine were born. Shirley's eldest brother, McKinley Junior, her younger brother Wilfred, and her baby sister Maxine completed the McKinley and Jessie Mae Johnson family. Shortly after Shirley's and Geraldine's birth, the family moved to sunny Phoenix, Arizona.

Growing up in Phoenix, Arizona, Shirley graduated from Carver High School. After graduating from high school, Shirley chased her dreams and attended Arizona State University.

After college Shirley married William Othelo Warren and to this union, two sons were born, Bruce Elliot and Brian Cedric.

Shirley worked for the Maricopa county Juvenile Division Department for a number of years and began her career with the Maricopa County Attorney's office shortly after. After 28 years of service, Shirley retired in March of 1993. Following her retirement, Shirley lived out a life of happiness, peace, and love, surrounded by family and friends.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, McKinley Jr. and Maxine. She is survived by her twin sister, Geraldine, brother Wilfred, sons Bruce and Brian, a host of grandkids, nieces and nephews.

Shirley loved and cherished family and friends. She will be missed tremendously by all who loved and adored the beautiful spirit that she was, and still is in each and every one of our heart.

A visitation for Shirley will be held on Friday, March 25th, 2022 at 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be at 11:00 Am to 12:00 PM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel, with committal services to follow.
