Myrick, Shirley Bluder 79 passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. Shirley, the second of three girls, was born on July 14, 1935, in Hodgkins, Illinois, to Henry and Emma Bluder. After completing two years of high school, Shirley married the love of her life, Warren Myrick, before relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, where she has lived ever since. Though she did not hold a formal job, Shirley worked tirelessly to build and maintain a home for her family. Shirley dedicated her life to her husband and children and, when she was not busy taking care of her family, found time to take walks and help with local elections as a way to involve herself in her community. Those who knew her best will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who played a crucial role in making her family who they are today. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. Shirley is preceded by her husband, Warren; her youngest daughter, Beth; her half-sister Betty Jane; and her grandson, Kevin. She is survived by her oldest sister, Ruth, by fewer than 24 hours and is survived by her youngest sister Joyce, five of her daughters: Debbie, Sharon, Judy, Linda, and Laurie, fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation Services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 10am - 10:30am, with Funeral Services to follow at 10:30am at Resthaven Park Mortuary,4310 E. Southern Avenue.
