Sheila Jane (Donovan) Cail, age 85, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 while in hospice care in Chandler Arizona. Sheila was the only child of Ella Mae Donovan and Cornelius P. Donovan. She was born in Manchester, NH and raised in Raymond, NH. Sheila attended Raymond High School. She was avid in high school sports where she played successfully in all the women’s athletics. She was also part of the cheerleading team and was picked to contribute to the sports section of her graduating yearbook of 1950 because of her sports academics. After she graduated, Sheila joined the United States Air Force during the Korean War where she attained the rank of Senior Airman (SrA) at the time of her honorable discharge. Sheila married Richard Carlton Cail on March 4, 1954 in Greenville, SC, where they were both stationed in the US Air Force. Sheila and Richard then moved their family to Phoenix, AZ in 1962. Sheila worked as a beautician before taking jobs with Motorola, Shure Electronics, and the State of Arizona. She enjoyed ceramics, camping, and listening to anything Elvis. Sheila is survived by her two children, Sandra (Matt) Cail-Poole and Brian (Christina) Cail; sister-in-law, Janet Wiggins; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Carlton Cail. Graveside Committal services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sheila’s honor are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
