Robert Louis Morrison (96) graduated to new life on 12/11/15. An Arizona native, Bob was born in Mesa to ranchers, Roland & Pearl (Bellamy) Morrison. He was the youngest of four brothers, Donald, Lee & Bill. After graduation from Mesa High School, Bob worked for Curtis Wright as an aircraft mechanic. He married Evelyn Sue (Pell) in 1942 and served as a Staff Sergeant, First Scout, & Squad Leader in the 19th Infantry during World War II. Beginning in 1944 he served in New Guinea, the Philippines, & Japan until the end of 1946. He farmed in Chino Valley, then was employed for 20+ years by Monroe Calculator & Litton Industries. In retirement he built race cars and enjoyed ballroom dancing and playing the guitar. He is survived by his daughter, Arlene Freed and son-in-law, James as well as many nieces & nephews. Services will be held 1:30pm, Thursday, December 17, 2015 in the Chapel at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85009.
