Robert (Robbie) Benjamin Candelaria, age 36, of Phoenix, Arizona entered into heaven on December 11, 2024. Robert was born one of four children to Ana Patricia “Patty” (Munguia) and Joseph Ray Candelaria Sr.
Robbie lived his entire life in Phoenix, where he graduated from Brophy College Preparatory with a full scholarship to Arizona State University. School was Robert’s passion. He loved to learn and read. Robbie was very talented in many areas. He played the trumpet in his high school band and excelled in every class he took. His father said “He’s the smartest person I know.”
Robbie loved the color “purple”. He listened to all kinds of music, but especially liked EDM and Linkin Park.
He will be missed for his movie and sushi dates with his mom, his love for cooking and baking his famous bruschetta, wearing a baseball cap with every outfit, always hanging out with his nieces and nephew at every family gathering, and his knowledge of Harry Potter leading to discussions comparing the minutiae between the books and movies.
Robert leaves behind his parents Joseph and Patty; his siblings Joseph (Noelani) Candelaria Jr., Brandon Candelaria, and Jason (Catherine) Candelaria; nieces Hayden and Layla; nephew Zane; his grandmother Anne Franco and his life partner Steven Rowen.
Robert was greeted in heaven by his Grandpa Herman, Uncle Pat, Aunt Liberty, Abuelo Sylvester and his Tio Fernando.
