Richard Hubert Powell, of Peoria, Arizona passed away on November 30, 2024 at the age of 93 years. Richard was born on April 17, 1931, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Hubert Garland and Virlee Evelyn (Grimes) Powell. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Air Force. In 1959, Richard moved to Arizona. He was an Educator, working as a Teacher as well as a Principal.
Richard was predeceased by his wife Grace. He is survived by his daughter Lori Powell Ford; his son-in-law Bruce Ford; and his grandchildren.
Services for Richard will be held at the First Phoenix Church, 3535 W. Georgia Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85019, on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 12:00pm.
