Richard, at age 92, went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2011. He was survived by his children, John (Margaret), Donna (Richard) and Patricia (Jon), 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dale in 2000. Richard enlisted in the military on January 2, 1942 and moved to Phoenix after the end of WWII. Richard retired from Salt River Project as a right-of-way agent in 1982 after 35 years. Memorial services will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary at 719 N. 27th Avenue on October 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
