Arizona.
He was born on August 5, 1937, in the beautiful mountains of Tinnie, New Mexico. He served in
the United States Navy and Army and was in the National Guard Reserves. While serving in the
Navy, he was part of the firefighter brigade. He was also on the refueling crew at the base in
Guam for three years.
He was employed by CP Construction, Belcher Construction, and ultimately Walton
Construction with whom he retired from. He had his CDL permit and drove long-haul diesel
trucks.
In 1961, he married his wife, Tibursia E. Rascon, with whom he shared over 60 years of
marriage.
He was an avid fisherman and bow hunter who loved the outdoors. In his spare time, he
enjoyed gardening; anything he planted thrived. He was also an avid woodworker who was fond
of making special pieces for his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Senon Rascon, and his mother, Enriqueta Gomez, as well
as his wife, Tibursia, and oldest son, Raul “Jerry” Jerardo Rascon.
He is survived by his three children, Celina G. Bryant & Danny Bryant, Isaac Rascon & Pam
Rascon, and Marcela Renteria & David Renteria, five grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren.
One of his favorite sayings during the last decade was, “Whatever you do, don’t get old!”
