Paul Leroy Carr

Paul L. Carr went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born in Birmingham AL in 1929 and moved to Arizona in 1962. He was an accomplished musician and career software engineer, but his great joy was faithfully serving the Lord in music ministry within Hispanic Southern Baptist churches in Texas and Arizona.

Paul is survived by his lovely wife of 63 years Patsy Jo “Chula Vista”, sons Paul (Shelly), Philip (Delinda) and Andrew (Lynn), daughters Anna Faith (Ken) Smith and Hope (Allen) Briscoe, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Paul loved Jesus! He leaves a great legacy for his family and loved ones. A celebration of his life will be held at First Southern Baptist Church, 3100 W. Camelback Rd, Phoenix AZ 85017 on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Fellowship at 9 AM, service at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Mexico Missions (a ministry that supports indigenous Christian ministry in Mexico), PO Box 1584 Phoenix AZ 85001.
