Patricia Ann Long

Pat was born April 22, 1934 to Marce and Mike Clemens in Dubuque, Iowa, the oldest of two children. Her brother William (Bill) pre-deceased her.

Pat married the love of her life, Kenneth A (Ken) Long in 1954, and spent the next 69 years together, raising their family, traveling, and enjoying many life adventures. Pat, with Ken, loved the outdoors. Hiking was their passion. They climbed Mount Whitney at age 65, 23 miles round trip in one day. They made many trips to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. They visited and hiked multiple National Parks. Most of all, they enjoyed spending time with family, and enjoyed many trips together: Hawaii, Big Bear, Alaska, and Oceanside to name a few. They spent time in Sedona each year.

Pat was an eager volunteer. She worked in the newborn ward at John C Lincoln hospital, and participated weekly in the Assistance League, the charity affiliated with the Catholic Church.

Pat is survived by her children Mary(Jim), Mike(Tami), Michele(Ron); grandchildren Kellie, Jamie, Jacob, Jason, Zachary, Ryan and Megan; and great grandchildren Karsen, Rylie and Kyler.

Services for Pat will be private. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
