Nicholas Manuel Portillo

on June 21, 2018 in Salt Lake City, UT. Nick was born on April 5, 1995 in Scottsdale, AZ.

He attended Mountain Ridge High school, graduating in 2013.

Nick had a passion for playing hockey, loved music, reading and always wanting to learn more. He enjoyed driving through the mountains photographing nature and just loved hanging out with friends.

Through his Life’s challenges his family remained his constant support. He was very courageous and fought a very hard battle. We will always be proud and full of love for Nick. We will miss his wonderful sense of humor, his compassion for others, his selflessness and his desire to make sure everyone was included and happy.

He is survived by his mother, Terry Portillo, father Manny Portillo, step-mother Marcia Portillo,

step-sister Marissa Flanegan and his adored sisters Courtney & Megan of whom he was so proud of. Grandmothers, Bertha Portillo (Tucson, AZ) and Fran Beckerman (Bloomfield, CT). He was also loved by many Aunts, Uncles, cousins & friends.

Nick was predeceased by his grandfathers, Manuel Portillo Sr & Harlan H Beckerman.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice favoring those helping families affected by addiction.
