Known to all as Mitch, Mitchell L. Desautels was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a dedicated member of Local Union 1087, where his skilled craftsmanship left a lasting mark on many of New York’s iconic skyscrapers and structures.
Later in life, Mitch relocated to Chandler, Arizona, to be closer to his family.
He is survived by his father, Robert Desautels; his sister, Stacey (Chad) Powell; his brother, Mark (Christine) Desautels; and 10 beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Anastasia Walters, and his brother, Robbie Desautels.
Mitch will forever be cherished by:
His daughter, Monica (Chris) Ransom, and their children, Deaon and Christopher.
His daughter, Janee’ Brooks (Kiwan), their 11 children and his two great-grandsons.
His son, JD Desautels.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made directly to either of Mitch’s daughters.
Mitch’s legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family and craft will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
