Michael Rojewski, 90, of Phoenix passed away peacefully on December 23, 2010. He was born February 16, 1920 in Omaha, NE. Devoted husband to the love of his life, Rose Sadil (d. 2003), for 54 years, he is survived by his beloved daughter Rose, granddaughters Jolie, Janelle, and Katy, and great-grandchildren Mitchell and Ellie Rose. He is preceded in death by his son, Don. Mike joined the U.S. Navy in 1942, where his service in the Pacific theater of World War II earned him the rank of Machinist Mate First Class. After the war, he worked at Omaha’s Falstaff Brewery for 25 years. In 1969 he moved his family to Phoenix, where he worked as a construction foreman until retirement. Mike and Rose shared a love of gardening, fishing, camping and exploring Arizona. They also shared a passion for the Catholic faith as active members of St. Joan of Arc Church since its founding. Mike’s memorable smile, sense of humor, generous spirit, and strength of character will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday,December 29, 2010 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Phoenix, AZ.
