Marjorie "Mardie" Joyce (Willis) Kenny

Marjorie Joyce Kenny of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Monday, April II, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born Marjorie Joyce Willis to Stanley Percy Willis and Ellen Mary Willis (nee Denton) at Woodside Cottage in Blackwater, Surrey, England on February 7, 1934. She was known as Marj to most and “Mardie” to her closest family. Marj married a U.S. Navy airman named Charles Donald Kenny, of Phoenix, Arizona on October 15, 1955 and moved to the United States that year. Initially domiciled in Maine with the Navy, afterward in Arizona, Marj earned her citizenship on February 21, 1961 while living in Delaware. Tragically widowed on September 21, 1964, Marj moved back to Arizona, where the majority of her closest friends were, to raise her son. She began work at the U.S. Postal service and retired as Timekeeper at Cactus station in North Phoenix. Marj is survived by son Steven Charles Kenny, Granddaughter Fallon Keiko Navarro, and Great Grandson Isaac Edward Navarro.

Visitation will be held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 9:00-11:00am, Funeral will begin at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora, CA.
