Lawrence Steven Boyer departed this life on December 10, 2017 escorted by his daughter Tara Marie to his heavenly father. Larry lost his short battle to Cancer. He was born on March 24, 1956 in Danville, Illinois to Fred Boyer Sr. and Marjorie (Jackson) Boyer. He grew up in Danville and joined the Marine Corps. After leaving the Corps he relocated to Orange County, California where he was employed as a welder and mechanic. He finally came to Phoenix, Arizona where he lived the last 34 years of his life. He was employed by Inside Out Fleet Repair as a diesel mechanic at the time of his passing. Larry was a member of The Pat Tillman Post of the American Legion and a member of New Founders of Freedom Riders. Larry had a fantastic Harley and loved to ride. He is survived by a daughter, Deena Jo (Jason) Winchester. Two grandchildren, Gracie Jo Winchester and Levi Brent Winchester and Diane Boyer with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. He is also survived by one brother, Fred Boyer, Jr. of Champaign, Illinois. Three sisters, Kathy (Ed) Flannery of Danville, Illinois, Linda Boyer of Westville, Illinois and Laurie Ann Gilalind of Arivaca, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Tara Marie Boyer and two nephews. Plans for a burial and memorial service are pending at this time and will be held at a later date after the holidays. He will be interred at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary
