Johnnie was a great husband, father, brother and a man who proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1956. He was a loyal member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign War.
He Leaves Behind a legacy of love and laughter. He was an in-your-face fun guy with a tough guy
attitude. Johnnie cherished his wife of 70+ years Ruth Kittrell, his children, Danny, Terry, Kim, Vickie
and Doris.
He was survived by his wife Ruth, Son Danny and Linda Kittrell, and Daughters Terry and Robert Samuel,
Kim and Johnny Garlington, Doris and Doug Scalf, Fred Gardner and his Sister Carole Bledsoe and
numerous Grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss his presence dearly.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his daughter Vickie Gardner, his parents Willie and Viola Kittrell,
his stepfather Claude Dickson, and his siblings Helen Lewis, Billie June Daggett, and Carl Dickson.
Johnnie was an avid golfer and skilled woodworker, and he loved working on Terry and Robert's cattle
ranch in Wyoming. He found great joy and relaxation in these activities. His hobbies were a way for
him to connect with friends and family, creating lasting memories and cherished items.
Johnnie's life was a testament to the values of dedication, service and family. His memory will be
Cherished by all who knew him. He was fearless and definitely one of a kind.
Committal Service will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024, November 25th 2:30PM.
