To the family and friends of Hugh Eads.  Pleasec accept the condolences of the Troopers of the Legendary Blackhorse Regiment, the 11th Armored Cavalry.  Hugh served with us in 1967 and 1968 in headquarters Troop of the Regiment.  He served honorably  and we stand in salute to a brave man who was willing to put his life on the line for his country, his family and his fellow man.  As a Life member of the 11th ACVVC, his name will be published in our newsletter, Thunder Run and he will be honored along with our other comrades-in-arms at our Memorial service at the Annual Reunion, this year in Birmingham.  May his noble soul rest in peace at the heaven for all Cavalry men:  Fiddlers Green.  Chaplain Bill Karabinos, 11th ACVVC (Vietnam, 11th ACR, 71/72) 

Hugh was my step grandfather and a very good and interesting man, although I was never able to spend a lot of time with him and my Grandma due to their travels in the Army and later in life my travels with the Coast Guard,  he was always there at the important times and he was always loving and caring towards my family , especially my grandma "  His lady" they were such a cute couple. I will miss you Hugh....Rest in peace sir.  To Hugh's family, I am very sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you at this time of sadness ... 

Dad’s first namesake grandson. Grandchild #9 on the Eads side, soon to be 12 later this year. He was blessed to share time with all of his grandchildren on a regular basis. He will be greatly missed, yet celebrated daily. 

So very sorry to hear about the passing of Hugh..I have known him since he and my mother married.  I have only seen him once since my mother passed away 10 years ago but kept in touch by phone.
Losing my mom and Covid I know he was very lonely..He was a very nice considerate man and made my mother very happy..We had a lot of nice visits  with my children and my late husband Ken..We will all miss him..
