Linsenmeyer, Fred died in Phoenix, Arizona on June 3, 2022. Born in Phoenix, Arizona April 26, 1942, Fred graduated from St. Mary’s elementary school in 1957; Phoenix Union High School in 1961 and the University of Arizona 1965 with a “Bachelor of Science Degree” in Business Administration. I majored in Production Management. I always said “The best and happiest years of life were at the UofA.”
Upon graduation, I worked for Woolco Department Stores in management for a few years. In 1969 I left Phoenix to work for Seagram Distillery in management as a Lab Technician; and in management in Lawrenceburg, Indiana as a bottling line and warehouse supervisor. I was a Stave Mill supervisor in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I then went to Freeport, Texas and worked for Dow Chemical as a chemical maintenance operator making chlorine gas.
In 1980 I decided to return to Phoenix, Arizona to settle permanently. I worked for the Arizona department of Revenue and later for the Maricopa County Assessor’s office as a clerk and later as a Property Appraiser II. I was retired when I died.
I loved good movies, good friends, travel, guns, history, hunting, target shoot and dogs. I was a world traveler by land, by sea and air.
I am preceded in death by my parents, Ernest and Alice Linsenmeyer and sister Hazel Linsenmeyer.
I am survived by three nephews; David, Michael and Patrick Leonard; my best friends were Ed Daasch of Roseville, California and David Leonard of Buckeye, Arizona.
There will be no viewing. Private Graveside Service will be at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 10am.
