Eric Ray Aurora

16, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona.

Eric always wanted to be the best he could as well as be a part of or

influence something bigger. He never settled for mediocrity and was never

arrogant. He did everything with passion; not reckless abandon. He was

strong in heart and spirit; not overbearing. He would give anyone the shirt

on his back or the car in his garage if he didn't need it.

He began elementary school in Apache Junction, AZ where he took 3rd in the

district math bee in 2nd grade. We moved to Joseph City, AZ where he

graduated as Salutatorian of his graduation class in 2009. He graduated from

the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology - Magna

Cum Laude.

While in college he learned the trade of wood-working, which he found to be

a better fitting career. He had just accepted a new job and was moving to

Chandler for the next phase of life's journey. He was excited for the new

opportunity and had hopes of one day owning his own business.

Eric was just plain funny. He touched everyone with his smile, witty humor

and heart. He was deeply devoted to his friends and family (blood or by

choice).

The man was shameless. There wasn't much he wouldn't try, say, wear, or put

onto film. He was the type of person who would ride or walk or run beside

you...unless it was a race.

He was guided by his two amazing parents, Michael and Stephanie Aurora and

he was supported and worshiped by his younger sister Britni Aurora. He was a

best friend and rugged adventurer with his many cousins, nieces and nephews

who are too many to count, and he was respected, admired and an inspiration

to his friends throughout all the years.

He will be meeting his grandfathers; Joseph (Papa Joe) Aurora, William (Bud)

Elvidge and Alvin Rubio. His grandmother; Mary Holsworth. His uncles, Alvin

Rubio, William (Willy) Rubio and Larry Wagner.

It is with very heavy hearts that we say goodbye to this amazing human for

to us he was not only a handy-man, friend, comedian, athlete, scholar, lover

and fighter but the best person you could ever have the privilege of

knowing. But this goodbye is not forever; it is only until we see you and

your bright shining smile once again. See you soon, beer in hand, to cheer

on the Cardinals, brother.
