Ellen Lee, of Scottsdale, age 94 passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2019. Ellen married the love of her life, Wing Doy Lee and was happily married for over seventy-two years. She is survived by her husband, Wing and her son Raymond (Bing), her daughters Peggy (Danny), Nancy (Rick) and grandchildren, granddaughters-in-law and great grandchild. She was Auntie to numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Additionally, she will be missed by extended family and friends.
After immigrating from China; Ellen along with Wing owned and managed a successful restaurant (Canton Restaurant) for over 30 years in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Her greatest joy was her love and devotion to family. She enjoyed traveling the world with her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. There was no prouder mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was just to sit and talk with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Ellen was always generous with her time, knowledge and resources. Over the years, she helped and guided many. She enjoyed making friends from all walks of life and especially loved following the stock market, truly a pioneer in her time. Those of us who were loved by her were indeed lucky. Hers was a life well lived.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, December 15th from 4:00-6:00pm at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 719 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday at 10:30am at Greenwood Memory Lawn.
