Donna was born in Winslow, AZ, October 17, 1948, the elder of twin girls. She grew up Winslow, went to grade school and graduated HS in 1967. She went to ASU and received her degree in medical technology in 1971 and later a Master’s Degree in information systems business in 1990. She had a long career with the Good Samaritan Medical System (now Banner Health) as a medical technologist, and later, as senior IT analyst.
Donna loved to travel, visiting many places, within the US, and around the world. She visited China, Russia, Australia, Spain, Italy, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and Mexico, just to name a few. She had a passion for her orchids, bonsai, and desert fauna. She also loved crafting; particularly quilting and created many quilt tops which she gave away as gifts. In her retirement years, she attended many sporting venues, with the D-Backs and Suns as favorites.
She was preceded in death by father, Moy Wong, and mother, Ong Oy Wong. She is survived by her siblings: Dale Wong (Ying Wong), Jeanna Wong, Ray Wong (Mardy Fones), and Sue Wong (Ken Carpenter) Also, her nephews Terry Wong, Danny Wong (Diane Wong) and niece Shirley Wong (Andrew Gusiken).
In lieu of flowers, please direct your gifts to American Diabetes Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society or American Heart Association. A private celebration of Donna's life will be held at a later date.
