Charles "Charlie" Matthew Sisler, Retired Chicago Police Officer, of Phoenix, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018. He was born on September 24, 1942 in Chicago, IL. Charlie attended St. Rita Catholic High School graduating class of 1960. After graduation he proudly enlisted in the United States Army and was a part of the 101st Airborne Division. Upon his discharge from the military he was employed by the City of Chicago as an EMT then later served as a Chicago Police Officer for over 20 years. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police #7, Retired Police Association, and the Illinois Police Association. He enjoyed golf and finally achieved the golfer's dream of a hole in one. Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Socorro "Coco"; step-daughter, Angela Olivia and her fiancé, Sam; and grandson, Ryan Charles; brothers-in-law, John, Mauro (Margarita), Michael, Joseph, and Victor (Karla) Escobedo; sister-in-law, Chayo (Michael) Escobedo-Rupar; beloved friends, Pat O'Flaherty, Carl and Mary-Grace Bator, Garry and Jeannie Zuelke, and Tony Blanco along with many other loving family and friends. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Robert J. Sheehy and Sons Funeral Home, Burbank, IL with the graveside services taking place in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
