Charles gave his heart to the Lord at an early age. He grew up enjoying his childhood and teenage years in Shelby, Mississippi. He graduated from Broad Street High School in 1976. Charles went on to earn college credits from Maricopa Community College in Phoenix, Arizona.
Charles entered the Army in 1976 and was stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas for four years. After completing his four-year tour of active duty he entered the Army Reserves where he served until his retirement from the military in 2009. He served a tour in Iraq in March 2003. While in the military, Charles traveled to different countries around the world and all over the United States. He earned many awards and accreditations during his time in the military.
Charles moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1980 to start his new life with his wife,
Earnestine Cleave and son Carlos Bronner.
Charles was dedicated to his job at Karsten Manufacturing, Ping Inc., in Phoenix, Arizona for almost 25 years as a maintenance technician II. He worked his way up through the company by earning several promotions. He truly cherished working for Ping Inc. and gained multiple friendships throughout his years there.
Charles was a huge sports fan. If there was a basketball, football or baseball game on TV, he was going to watch it no matter what team was playing. When he was younger, he would shoot hoops with his kids and nephews in his backyard.
Charles kept busy in the yard playing with his grandson until he became ill in October 2016. He enjoyed spending time at the casino when he could. He also loved to travel; taking many road trips to Mississippi and Nevada.
The Lord called Charles home on January 27, 2017. Left to cherish his memories are; wife Earnestine Bronner of 38 years; son: Carlos Bernell Bronner; daughters: Jaunice Nicole Bronner and Kalandra Shantice Bronner; grandson: Camron Aedyn Cuneo all of Phoenix, Arizona; loving mother: Hattie Mae Bronner of Shelby, Mississippi; sisters: Lucy Bronner, Hattie (Marvin) George of Shelby, Mississippi and Emma (Don) Williams of Jackson, Mississippi; brothers: Jesse Collins of Lakeland, Florida; James Bronner Sr. of Shelby, Mississippi, William Edward Bronner Jr. of Hernando, Mississippi, Willie (Teresa) Bronner of Southaven, Mississippi, David Bronner of Shelby, Mississippi and Samuel (Ivonne) Bronner of Dallas, Texas; special cousins: Robert Earl Haney and Grace Marie Harper.
Charles was preceded in death by his dear father: William Edward Bronner Sr.; brother: Robert Eugene Bronner; nephew: Robert “Bobbie” Eugene Bronner II; niece: Tiffany Bronner; sister-n-laws: Cynthia “Candy” Bronner and Willie B. Bronner.
