of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully July 16, 2012 surrounded by those closest to her. Born October 5, 1937 in Rochester, New York to Eleanor and Thoburn Kinney. She graduated from ASU and was a dedicated elementary school teacher for the Phoenix Elementary No. 1 School District for 30 years, retiring in 1999. She was a devoted mother, wife, friend, and confidante always caring and compassionate to all whom she met. She enjoyed reading, baseball, Tai Chi, yoga, travel, and animals. Carol is survived by her husband John Reinhold, daughters Christina Hall of Phoenix and Cheryl J. (Matthew) Meade of Yuma, granddaughters Katherine and Carolyn Meade of Yuma, brother J. Christian Kinney of Mexico along with many beloved extended family and friends. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and former Chair for Staying in the Pink. Those who met Carol immediately experienced her courageous, yet gentle spirit and amazing grace. She will be greatly missed. Her celebration of life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at First United Methodist Church at Central and Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Justa Center (caring for homeless seniors) at 1001 W. Jefferson St., Phoenix, AZ 85007.
