Alice was born to John and Alice Wilson in Salina, Kansas on March 27, 1955. In 1958, she and her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she attended Maryvale High School, Phoenix College, and Glendale Community College. In 1972, Alice joined the police explorers which prepared her for a job as a Phoenix Police Officer. Later, she became a dispatcher for the fire department and a 911 operator for the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Most recently, Alice loved teaching as an instructor for DPS, educating highway patrol officers. She is survived by her husband, Andy, her three children, Adam, Andrew, and Angela, her mother, Alice, her brothers, John and David, and her best friend Tammee. Alice most enjoyed being a mother, taking on roles including soccer coach for 3 years and home room mom. She enjoyed playing the flute, horseback riding, riding her motorcycle, and taking classes to obtain an A.A. in psycology. Alice's family and friends will remember her for spreading joy everywhere she went and letting people know how much she loved and valued them. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Chaparral Christian Church at 6451 E. Shea Blvd. Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make donations in Alice's name to Hospice of the Valley.
