Roy E. Baxley, 79, of Phenix City, AL, went to his Heavenly Home on October 11, 2024 at Brookdale Senior Living Care with his family at his bedside. A Funeral Service will be held at Cascade Hills Church on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:00 am with the family receiving friends an hour prior.
Roy was born in Ozark, AL on March 7, 1945. He was the son of the late Eva Belle Akridge and Mack Baxley. He was a member of Cascade Hills Church, which he was very active in many things. His life touched many people within the church as well as outside the church. He retired from Masterbuilt in Columbus, GA.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Baxley, Robert Baxley, and Ranzel Baxley. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Ann Thomason Baxley of Phenix City, AL; daughter, Shanda Lynn and son-in-law, John Andrews of Peachtree City, GA; daughter, Terri Troyer of Smiths Station, AL; granddaughters, Katherine and Madeline Andrews of Peachtree City, GA; sisters, Mary Benton of Columbus, GA and Verlon Grimes of Enterprise, AL; brother, Larry Baxley of Slocumb, AL; nieces; nephews; and many very special friends that were our guardian angels.
He was loved and will be missed by all of his family and friends! GOD Bless and enjoy your new Heavenly Home. We will love you and remember you always!
