Lee E. Thompson Sr., age 88, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 at his residence.
He was born March 13, 1934 in Huntington, West Virginia; son of the late James E. and Melissa Swim Thompson. He served in the US Marines during the Vietnam Conflict, was retired from J & L Steel in Michigan and was retired from the School Board of Sarasota, Florida as a school bus driver.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Jean Noble Thompson and his son, Lee E. Thompson, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Sellers Thompson, sons, Larry E. Thompson, Donald Ray Thompson (Wanda) and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
