James K. Parrish, 75 of Phenix City, AL died Monday March 30, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 1, 2015 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Marvin Minton officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Parrish was born August 30, 1939 in Coffee County, Alabama; son of the late James Alcus and Katie Mae Taylor Parrish. He served in the Army National Guard, was a self-employed contractor and a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sarah Smith Parrish of Phenix City, AL, daughter, Karen Parrish Juhan and husband Mike of Woodland, GA, son Stanley Parrish of Phenix City, AL, grandaughter, Emily Parrish of Phenix City, AL, sisters, Virginia Parrish Miller and Husband Curtis of Phenix City, AL, Jeri Mohn and husband William of Fort Smith, R, Kathy Parrish Fears of Phenix City, AL, brother, Norman Wade Parrish and wife Patricia of Seale, AL, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
