George Clanton Gibson Jr.

A visitation for family and friends for George will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation for family and friends will be a celebration of life memorial service at 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.

Mr. Gibson was born November , 1939 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late George C. Gibson, Sr. and Lula Mae Perry Gibson. He was retired from Tom's Foods with 36 years of service and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Alton Littleton

Survivors include his wife if 57 years, Elsie Littleton Gibson of Phenix City, AL, daughter, Kim D. Smith and husband, Jimmy . granddaughters, April Cheyenne Smith all of Smiths Station, AL, Tana Dakota Smith of Auburn, AL; great granddaughter, Paisley Grace Smith, brother-n-law, Ricky Littleton, step-father, Jack Shavers, special cousins, Pat Waldrop, Jeanne Adams and Barbara Exum.
