Cathy J. Sykes, 55 of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday December 9, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday December 12, 2012 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, Al. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sykes was born April 25, 1957 in Royaloak, Michigan, daughter of Carl and Violet Adkins Summers. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband Randy M. Sykes, sons, Joshua Summers, Joseph Summers, daughter, Jessica Sykes, step-son, Tony Sykes (Melinda) all of Phenix City, granddaughter, Chelsea Sykes, four sisters, Carolyn Poniewierski (Steve), Nancy Riddle (Jerry), Lori Guiledge all of Michigan, Jeannie Gucwa of Tennessee, brother, Gary Summers of Michigan, several nieces, nephews.
