From HS friends and then you becoming a DJ and helping me out at the clubs. I will always remember the school dance you DJed and you had me representing B104 and Casti KTEX! You rocked the school dance and we had them jumping and screaming as if it was a concert! RIP Ruben aka DJ NRG.

Im truly heartbroken. Ruben and I met in kinder and were in every class together from kinder to 5th. We formed a strong friendship at such a young age. We were neighbors, and he would come over and play pool with me and hang out. We convinced some of our classmates we were cousins. Our friendship continued to grow all through HS. I’d go over to pick a SS book or assignment when I’d forget my homework. I remember my senior yr, he moved into my locker without an invite or asking, but it didn’t matter. I never questioned it because I was so use to him always being around. He was like a brother. Although I hadn’t seen him in a while, we would still shoot each other random messages. I’m going to miss him deeply. So many great memories that I’ll always carry in my heart 💔💕 May you rest in peace, “cousin”. Til we see each other again. 

My sincere heartfelt condolences to Ruben’s children and family. I had the pleasure of working along side Ruben during my time at Valley EMS and enjoyed his positive and joyful view on life and its challenges. My heart goes out to his  children and although the loss of a father and his love can’t be replaced, I know that his heart walks around on two legs in the lives of his children. Rest in peace brother! 

Rest in Peace Ruben! You were always so supportive of mine and my brothers’ golf game.  We will always remember you. 

I met Ruben when we were kids at Alvarez. Although our immediate friends didn't run in the same circles we were always cordial to each other even that far back.  In 5th grade, we really got to know each other well. He invited me over to his house a few times, which was just a stones throw away from Alvarez, and we often discussed what were the most important topics of the day back in 1989 during recess, which was hard rock and heavy metal! I'm not sure if anyone knew that at his roots, Ruben loved rock n' roll. 

Over the years as we moved up through school,  we didn't hang like we did in 5th grade, but we'd always say hello. I even put a  picture of him, and his friends, in one of the Nikki Rowe yearbooks. I ran into him a few times since we left school and each time we discussed matters of a much simpler time, rock n' roll.  I was blessed to have known Ruben and my childhood was better for it. I will always remember him as a friend. 

My sincere condolences and prayers to the Gomez family at your time of loss. May you rest in peace Ruben. Gone but never forgotten.

With sadness in my heart I send the family prayers for the loss of their loved one.  I have known Ruben through golf since he was a youngster.

I worked for Ruben from 2013 to 2017. Not only was he a great boss, but he also became a great friend. My condolences to the family of Ruben Gomez, you are all in my prayers.
As we know Ruben, he is just beyond the Pearly Gates right now, probably helping others with their golf game in the everlasting kingdom. 

Had the privilege of working with Ruben at Cimarron. He was a great boss and a even better friend. Always willing to go out of his way to help someone out. Thanks for everything pro! You’ll be greatly missed.

I knew Ruben for many years through golf. He always had a story to tell and always looked out for me and my family. He’ll be missed by many people which speaks volumes to his character and personality. My condolences to the family.
