We just arrived in Mercedes, TX for a few months and were saddened to hear of Louis's passing.  We have been enjoying his music from the time of our first visit down here.  Our condolences to the Gomez family.  Please remember that he will always be with you in spirit and will be dearly missed by many.

We send our sincere condolences to the family of Louis.  We along with many others from our park in Brownsville, 4 Seasons RV Resort, looked forward to dancing and listening to Louis and the Texas Country Band on Friday nights at the Fun and Sun Resort.  What a joy it was to hear him play and sing our favorite songs.  He was always quick to play any request.  He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. I met Louis when he was playing little league in Raymondville..and knew his parents as well--he was a very humble person--great friend..and loved life.. may he rest in peace

First met Louie when our cousin Estella was engaged to him in late 60's. First impression was that he was a trailblazer, unique individual, very kool guy. Louis a true gentleman. I figured since he was marrying our cousin, I had to get along. Louie was a very likeable person. I had only respect for him. He was a big part of the family. Louie & I never had a difference of any kind. He'd visit Omega music occasionally to buy microphones, acoustic guitars, or check out out keyboards. I remember when Louis mentioned he had seen The Beatles at a '65 Houston concert. I was very impressed, had to ask again. But always a humble guy, not one to brag. He invited me to a recording session once & he was a true Professional. I shall always miss Louie Gomez. Very appropriate that he visited us when our Ma passed on. Louis was always a good and decent man with class. It was my privilege to have known him as family & in my life. Thanx Louis for your life, light, spirit, example, & being part of us all. GBU always. Play on. Til the next time. Take a bow. Rest my brother.

have know Louie for a long time . first at
bit of heaven when we danced around the post. and after much convincing then at Casa Del Valle since the first time he played there. We will miss him a lot
