Born on January 12, 1943, in San Juan, Texas, Jesus was a man of strength, wisdom, and compassion. From humble beginnings, he created a meaningful life through dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. His genuine personality made everyone around him feel valued, and his strong faith and love for others were the foundation of everything he did.
Jesus is survived by his children, Jesus (Myrna) Villarreal, Jr., Osvaldo (Theresa) Villarreal, Carlos (Teresa) Villarreal, Idalia (Darryl) Villarreal-Dancy, Raul Villarreal Sr., Evangelina (Javier) Villarreal-Quiroz, Annallancy Villarreal, Roberto Tellez, Jorge (Yaneth) Villarreal, Pedro Villarreal, Jessica (Benjamin) Villarreal-Rodriguez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members.
In his community, Jesus was famously recognized for his mechanical expertise and the welcoming spirit he brought to his radiator shop. His hands skillfully solved problems, while his heart welcomed new friendships. To him, work was more than just a job—it was a way to serve others and build relationships.
What truly set Jesus apart was his contagious sense of humor. He had an extraordinary ability to bring smiles to those around him, often with a well-timed joke or a playful observation. His humor wasn’t just for entertainment—it was a reminder to find lightness in life, even during its most challenging moments. His jokes and sharp wit lifted spirits, reminding everyone to embrace life with a smile and a light heart.
At the age of 44, Jesus gave his life to Jesus Christ, and his life took on a profound new purpose. His faith became the foundation of everything he did. He shared God’s love through music, bringing joy and hope to others, and ministered to those in need through community outreach. His love for God, his love for people, and his kindness became a beautiful reflection of his faith.
Jesus will always be remembered for his unwavering faith, generous spirit, and the way he approached life with a playful sense of humor. He taught everyone around him the value of hard work, dedication, and living with intentionality. His light and love left an imprint on every life he touched.
More than anything, he’ll be remembered as a man who lived with purpose.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Del Angel Funeral in Pharr, Texas.
Jesus Villarreal’s legacy is one of faith, service, and love. Though his absence leaves a void, his memory lives on in the countless lives he touched and the example he set of a life lived with intention and heart.
Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
