It is with great sorrow that the Flores family share the passing of their beloved, Elvira Flores. She was born July 5, 1940 in Mexico to the late Maria Dolores and Serapio De La Rosa. She passed peacefully on November 25, 2021 surrounded by her family.
She married, Jose Flores and together celebrated 52 wedding anniversaries. Elvira was admired for her generosity, ferocity, and dedication. She was a fighter and breast cancer survivor with many passions that included crocheting and cooking. Her chef skills were known for her delicious tamales. Most important to her, was her vocation as a wife, mother and grandmother. As the matriarch of the family, she instilled in her family the Catholic faith and moral values. Her loved was spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband: Jose Flores, her children: Maria Dolores Castro(Jose Luis), Hector Flores, and Patricia Beltran(Jorge Armando); grandchildren, Florentino Beltran, Jorge Beltran Jr., David Beltran, Miranda Beltran and Yosiel Castro, and the sister whom she helped raised her children, Carolina, along with extended family and friends.
A visitation for Elvira will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 3:00pm-9:00pm with a rosary being recited at 6:00pm. A catholic funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg with her interment to follow at 1:00pm at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
